Calietra attend Horizon 2020

Calietra always invests in sustainability and innovation. Indeed, today we reported that in January the company has joined a group in Horizon 2020  to attend an international research project called PhotoNanoMat, together with international partners like the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. The Proposal was presented last March 26.

This project brings together European corporations, universities and companies (only Calietra and Colorobbia are Italian!), that are involved in the development of new and sustainable processes for the synthesis of high-added value products, in particular the application of nanosilver to the lava stone for anti-bacterial properties. Possible applications are in floors of hospitals or kitchens of restaurants.
In August we will know if the Proposal will be accepted and financed by Horizon 2020, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme. Stay tuned!
